The journey
The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day in Colorado. I have often been reminded to slow down and enjoy the view. I am unsure if I was born a driven individual or shaped by my very strict parents and our home environment. Either way, this is not a time to change completely. My children are grown and it is now my time to rediscover my needs and selfish dreams. I have learned to sleep a little later to energize my spirit. I smile for often at strangers and trust that the world is a better place for doing so. I enjoy simple activites in a manner that is quite refreshing. Last year, I lost 2/3 of my right lung to cancer but gained a sense of character and depth that is amazing. The journey has reminded me that tomorrow is only a promise. Cancer simply reminds the recipient that one’s expiration date may be earlier than anticipated. I have the knowledge and wisdom to embrace each day as if it may be my last. I am doing well and discovering yoga, meditation and a more peaceful journey. I hope that you too, embrace each day with joy. Namaste’
